Who Is Royal T Fitness

The person behind Royal T Fitness is Trennesse Nicol Mosley, NASM-CPT, FNS, GPTS & OTC. Hello and welcome to my website, I’m a certified Personal Trainer and Online Trainer. I also hold certifications in Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Group Personal Training Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Over the years I’ve also gained certifications as a TRX Instructor and Indoor cycling Instructor. My latest certification is a Silver Sneakers Instructor. I am the mother of two and grandmother of one and this website is a reflection of my passion and commitment to health and fitness.

I love exercising, especially running. It’s funny, because as a teenager and young adult I hated running.  In my teens I signed up to join the neighborhood track team but I quickly realized that structured running was too hard and I quit because I didn’t want to make that level of commitment and besides it was too hot to run.  Luckily I continued to perform gymnastics and dance during my childhood and high school years.

As a young adult I continued to exercise although it was not consistent, I tried step aerobics, Tae Bo, Pilates, and Yoga. But then my life changed, I HAD to exercise because of impending health issues; high cholesterol was present; one of the things I deemed as my genetic death sentence. In 1996 I experienced a mini stroke or the medical condition; TIA (transient ischemia attack) too much stress, a bad diet and too much weight on my 5’2 frame. Whatever I was doing as for as exercise was not working, maybe it was the amount, the intensity or not combining exercise and proper diet.

In 1994 I had my first stint with prolonged exercise as an adult, I chaperoned my daughter’s high school marching unit. I did that on and off for four years. At the start of parade season I would begin walking, but by the end of the season I stopped. In 1998 when I became a chaperon at my son’s middle school I was tired of the start and stop cycle. I also noticed the inconsistency was too hard on my now 35 year old body. So I decided to stay consistent with the walking and the best part was I loved being outdoors. I found that walking or jogging was easy, cheap and didn’t require any equipment just a small investment in running shoes. I found that running was an easy transition from jogging. The more you do something the better you become at it.

My first competitive race was a 5k (3.1) miles in 2002, The St. Augustine Raymond Minor 5k at Audubon Park. I was 38 years old, some would say a little old to start a competitive running program. To my surprise I won my age group division, I ran 3.1 miles in 39 minutes and 42 seconds. Now, fourteen years later, I chuckle when I see that time because now I’m a faster and more efficient runner. That race was not only a win for me in the competitive sense it changed the way I began to live the rest of my life, it was a win for my health and survival. It gets hard sometimes to keep up at the pace I set for myself but it’s worth it. I’m worth it!

I hope this story will inspire and motivate you. This is my mission for Royal T Fitness, to show mature women that it’s not too late to improve their health and change their bodies through exercise and healthier eating choices. Through my website, www.RoyalTFitness.com my goal is to inform, share, and motivate. So let’s get started on this new journey together and remember: “Don’t Weight”.
